Nael Khleifi est né en 1978 d’un père palestinien et d’une mère belge. Diplômé en 2004 de l’Institut National des Arts et Spectacles de Bruxelles - section image, Nael Khleifi commence à travailler comme directeur de la photographie en documentaire. Il réalise son premier court métrage de fiction (« Au pays des géants ») mettant en scène un migrant nouvellement arrivé à Lille également en 2004. Il réalise ensuite le documentaire « En attente… » (2011) dans la Jungle de Calais. Il poursuit son travail cinématographique sur les problématiques migratoires avec le long métrage documentaire « Alpes » en 2021.

Nael Khleifi was born in 1978 from a Palestinian father and a Belgian mother. Graduated in 2004 from the National Institute of Arts and Entertainment in Brussels - image section, Nael Khleifi start to work as a director of photography in documentary. He directed his first short fictional film (“In the land of giants ”) featuring a newly arrived migrant in Lille also in 2004. He then directed the documentary « Waiting … » (2011) in the Jungle of Calais. He continued his cinematographic work on migration issues with the feature documentary « Alps » in 2021.
